Haruhi Suzumiya

Haruhi Suzumiya (涼 宮 ハルヒ, Suzumiya Haruhi?) Is the common name for a series of light novels written by Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrated by Noizi Ito, and later adapted into other media. The story follows the title character, Haruhi Suzumiya, a high school girl who unknowingly be able to change reality, and the strange antics with his school club, the SOS Brigade, which he established to investigate any mysterious event. Haruhi forcefully drafts Kyon sarcastically telling his classmates series, and also recruited three additional members to his club: the fans of the book still Yuki Nagato, a shy and timid Mikuru Asahina, and "mysterious exchange student" friendly Itsuki Koizumi. The members soon reveal themselves to Kyon as an extraordinary character Haruhi looking for, sent by their organizations to observe and keep his reality warping powers in check by maintaining the illusion of normal life.
The first novel published in Japan on June 6, 2003 by Kadokawa Shoten, with nine individual novels published and is planned as a tenth of April 1, 2007 (2007 -04-01) [update]. Lights novel has been adapted into four separate manga series, five video game, a television anime adaptation, and two original net animation. After the anime adaptation aired in 2006, publishing company Kadokawa Shoten received various offers licenses both novel and various adaptations. [1] [2]
English Novels licensed for release in the United States by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and Yen Press and the anime adaptation is licensed for distribution in North America by Kadokawa Pictures USA division, which then sublicensed production and distribution to Bandai Entertainment.
