Job Indonesia - Timberlake's parents divorced in 1985, and both have remarried. His mother, who now runs an entertainment company called Just-in Time Entertainment, remarried to Paul Harless, a banker, when her son was five. His father, a choir director at a Baptist church, has two children, Jonathan (born c. 1993) and Steven Robert (born August 14, 1998), from his second marriage to Lisa Perry. Justin Timberlake's debut as a solo artist came with a live performance of his first single "Like I Love You" at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards. This was followed by the release of the album Justified in November, 2002. "Like I Love You" just missed the pop top 10, but later singles "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body" both reached the top 5. Justified peaked at #2 on the album chart. The Super Bowl Controversy:
The biggest controversy in Justin Timberlake's career erupted following the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show. During a performance with Janet Jackson, he tore off a portion of her costume as planned, but, unfortunately, more of the costume came off than intended briefly baring one of Jackson's breasts. Justin Timberlake said to the press that he was "sorry that anyone was offended by the wardrobe malfunction" which instantly added the term "wardrobe malfunction" as a national catch phrase.
