Hello,
I've been working on EAD for about 4 years now as priority dates are backed up a lot. My I-140 has been approved in 2007 and still waiting on I-485 to get approved. My current employer is not my original sponsor. I changed jobs after the "180 days post I-485 receipt" policy. Now, I'm interested to accept an offer (similar job) in another state. How will this affect my I-485 if I'm changing employers for the 3rd time and this time, at another state?

In EAD, there is no restriction on the number of times you can change the job and also in what state you are employed (could be different from the one your labor was filed), provided the new job is in same or similar category.
In your case (moving to a difrerent state), chance of getting RFE for EVL is high. So make sure that the new employer can provide a EVL stating that the new job is in the same or similar category as your old one (for which the labor got approved).
Other than that, you should be fine...
BTW, dont forget to file AR-11 within 10 days of your change of address.

Why is Gary looking outside of USA to tap potential home buyers? Just for folks who aren't aware - there are 500,000 high skilled legal immigrant already in USA who are waiting in queue for numbers of years to get their Permanent Residency. Thanks to the limited visa availability based on country chargeability (birth of applicant) and inefficiency of immigration system, these highly skilled, tax paying and law abiding immgrants are waiting for their Green Card (Permanent residency). Some of them have studied here, worked here for years and US is almost a second home to them. They are sitting on pile of cash, Yes - PILE OF HARD CASH. They wouldn't buy house or any big ticket items until they get Green card. Why not give these people, who are already part of our system, conditional Permanent Residency who buy houses. Hi,
I have applied for I-140,I-485 and I-765 on 16th of Aug'07,dint get the receipt yet. I would be leaving to India this month and would return only in Feb'08.
My major concerns are:
1. once I get the notice for FingerPrints, can I reschedule it to Feb'08.
Is it advisable.
OR
2. Do I have an option of getting my FingerPrint done at any consulate in India.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am planning to apply for EAD and AP. Debating myself if I have to go with e-filing or paper based. Some one told me, paper based DOES NOTrequired biometrics where as E-filing DOES need biometrics? Could you please shed some light on this?

I have a valid H1-B visa till November 2011from Company A. I joined Company B in July 2009. I have got my Company B approval notice I-797 from USICS.
Due to my fathers health I'm travelling to Pakistan in October for a one week vacation. I have my approval notice from Company B and the visa transfer is done. My new approval notice is till June 2012.
My question is do I have to go for stamping when I go to Pakistan because I changed companies even though I have a valid visa from my previous company and an approval notice from my current company?

Yes. This can be done when applying for I-485. I don't know why, but couple of lawyers I spoke with, recommended this route.

Nah you are right, that is all I did, but I honestly doubt anyone would make a fuss :) I mainly made them for the sake of it, the only ones I'd definately want to see on there are the first 2 anyway so you can take the others off if ya don't want them :)
