Lindsay Lohan Biography

Name: Lindsay Lohan
Born: 2 July 1986 (Age: 24)
Where: Cold Spring Harbor, New York, USA
Height: 5' 5"
Awards: No major awards yet

As with all long-running businesses, the selling of films has become ever-more sophisticated over the years. Audiences are now broken down into clear demographics and movies are conceived and pruned to target them. Perhaps the biggest market to have been recognised and tapped by major studios in recent times is the tweenie girl market, females who are still children but moving quickly towards maturity. Naturally, new stars were required to front the films and, predictably, there were many, many applicants. Many applicants but only two clear winners - Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff. Both would score smash hits onscreen, and both would engage in parallel careers in music. But it was Lohan, perhaps because of an already impressively lengthy CV, who'd come out on top. In 2004, Rob Friedman, Vice President of Paramount would say of her "Right now she's the reigning teen queen. Lindsay is identifiable. She's not an unreal personality. Audiences can relate to her". And how. Freaky Friday was a massive hit, she then headlined another in Mean Girls, then shared top billing with the world's most famous VW Beetle in Herbie: Fully Loaded. And she was smart about it, too. Though her stock had risen to the point where she was paid $7.5 million for playing the lead in the light comedy Just My Luck, she also cleverly sought out adult movie-making experience by taking a bit-part as Meryl Streep's daughter in Robert Altman's A Prairie Home Companion. The reigning teen queen was clearly preparing herself for the long haul.

She was born Lindsay Dee Lohan on the 2nd of July, 1986, spending her early years in Laurel Hollow, a tiny residential village on the western shore of Cold Spring Harbour, Long Island, New York. This place was a fair reflection of her Irish-Italian Catholic family's fortunes at this point. A former whaling village, it had been popularised in the early 1900s by well-to-do New Yorkers like Louis Comfort Tiffany, son of the founder of Tiffany's, who founded estates there. As time passed the area became famed for its bird sanctuary, the Muttontown Preserve woodlands and then a genetic and cancer research centre that spawned three Nobel Prize winners. Though just a few miles outside the New York conurbation, it was leafy, sparsely populated and rich. Come the year 2000 its population was still 91.3% white with a median income of over $200,000. It was Gatsby country.

So, the Lohans were doing well. Lindsay's father Michael was a Wall Street trader who'd apparently helped build up his family's pasta business. Unfortunately, his business dealings would be far from transparent, leading to much trouble both for himself and his family.

Britney Spears, was born in 2  December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, is an American singer and a pop culture icon.

Britney Spears career in the entertainment industries began early, when she auditioned for the series Mickey Mouse Club. Even though she was rejected to due her early age and instead landed a spot on the TV show, Star Search, she later returned to the Mickey Mouse Club at the age of 11 years. When the show got canceled and after she spent a year in high school, she recorded a solo demo, allowing her to become and opening act for ‘N Sync and Backstreet Boys.

                                          Britney Spears Life and Style

Britney Spears debut album, (“Baby One More Time”,) peaked at number ( 1 ) and was both praised for her personal charisma and criticized for simplicity. Britney Spears popularity grew after her Rolling Stone photoshoot, sarcastically dubbed “child pornography”, as well as her controversial relationship with Justin Timberlake. Her following album “Oops!... I Did it Again” was released and quickly reached up topiest best selling list and was certified diamond with over 10 million dollars albums sold.

Britney Spears would continue to follow up with two hits albums and a movie. Exploring her creative side while trying to take some control of her image, Britney Spears co-wrote multiple songs on her both albums, 'Britney' and 'In the Zone'. Both albums received positive feedback from critics although not like her previous ones. I'm a "Slave for You" reached 27 on Billboard Hot 100 and “Toxic” gave her first ever best Grammy award. Other songs did very well too including “I'm Not a Girl, Not yet a Woman”, “Overprotected”, "In the Zone” and the highly controversial “Touch of My Hand"". In the midst of her success and planning a world tour Britney Spears was able to star in her first ever movie, Crossroads. The movie was not well received by critics, in fact leading her to win a Razzie Award; the film did lead to other small parts in movies such as Austin Powers Gold Member and Longshot.

The coming years would have become challenging for Britney Spears, two failed marriages, two children, a highly published kiss with a pop icon Madonna (collaborating on “Like a Virgin”) with Christina Aguilera and the exit of Kabbalah. Britney Spears first marriage in 2004 to childhood friend Jason Alexander would only last a mere 55 hours, ending in an annulment. During her Onyx Hotel world tour she would meet her second husband Kevin Federline; soon after they would welcome their first child, a son, Sean Preston. One year later a second son would come along, Jayden James Federline and this would come just before the end of her second marriage. Devastated Britney spears would now embark on many late nights at the hottest Hollywood clubs with other Hollywood starlets, such as Lindsay Lohan and a pinnacle of talent, international  models, superstars, dancers, singers and "actress" Paris Hilton.

Britney Spears  would continue to press on with the release of two more albums launching within a year of each other. Blackout with songs like “Piece of Me” and “Break the Ice” clearly depict Britney Spears life at the time. Britney's latest album Circus was Superb hit with the critics, hitting number one the Billboard 200. The little track “Womanizer” calls out an unfaithful spouse, what Britney called a woman's anthem. The second song release, “Circus”, allows her fans a peep into her otherwise chaotic life, during which time she would lose custody of both boys, was admitted into the hospital, underwent random drug testing and shaved her head.
