Rajini is doing well !

Lata Rajinikanth met the media at the SRMC hospital today (May 19)where Rajinikanth has been admitted.

According to her Rajinikanth is "doing well and he has moved to the ICU as it is a more protected and sterile area."

Lata made it clear that the superstar "was suffering from minor stomach ailment and respiratory infection. He is out of danger and his health is stable".

The superstar’s wife dismissed reports that his health is deteriorating. Says Lata: "In fact today afternoon he was cracking jokes and looking cheerful and had a normal meal".

She also clarified that all "his organs are fine and functioning properly."
Lata also made it clear that "he is human being and does not have super human powers. He needs time and I hope the fans and the media will give us some privacy."

Ravikumar's reassurance!

KS Ravikumar the director of Rajinikanth's Rana has pooh-poohed rumours making the rounds that the film has been shelved. He is quoted by a leading newspaper as saying: "Rana is on. There are no plans to shelve or postpone the film. Reports suggesting otherwise are false."

Ravikumar added that work is going on for the film. He had gone to Thailand to scout locations for the movie.

Ravikumar made it clear: "I will be going to London for further location hunt. Anyway as per the original plans the shoot was to take place only by July end. "

Rajinikanth admitted in Ramachandra hospital

Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) in Chennai on Friday (May 13) to undergo medical tests. Since the last three days the superstar's health has become a concern for his fans.

The family members of the star have repeatedly said that there is nothing to worry. Meanwhile the latest report from  SRMC on Sunday (May 15) says: "Rajinikanth  will spend three more days in the ward and is being treated for lung infection and gastro intestinal problems."

Rajinikanth hospitalised again!

Rajinikanth has been hospitalised again on Wednesday night. He was admitted to Isabel hospital in Chennai on Wednesday, after he felt breathless and uncomfortable. 

As per doctor's treating him the superstar has viral fever and allergic bronchitis, which has aggravated due to lack of rest.

Rajinikanth has been advised total rest and not to exert himself.

The hospital authorities have said that no visitors including VVIP's will be allowed to meet him during his stay in the hospital.
