How come Rajini didn’t invite CM personally?

Various eyebrows within political and film circles gone up to take note Latha Rajinikanth going devoid of the super star to request the chief minister Karunanidhi for the engagement of Soundarya Rajinikanth. The event assumed more importance as the super star himself went in order to request the former chief minister Jayalalitha.

But all questions had been put to rest by the super star himself at a function organised by Sanga Thamizh Peravai to felicitate Karunanidhi in Chennai yesterday. Speaking at the function the super star said he would be inviting the Chief Minister personally for Soundarya’s wedding.

“Because, there is a saying that a ruler is like fire and one should neither be too near nor too distant from him. So I would always maintain a range with those in power. However, nothing at all may stop me from inviting him personally for Soundarya’s marriage” he added amidst thunderous applause from the crowd.

The felicitation function was also attended by Kamal Haasan and Mammootty from the film industry.
