Nanban in climax!
The shooting of Nanban is going on at a brisk pace and director Shankar has said that he has completed almost 60 percent of the film and has also finished filming the climax. The director has said that the “most complicated and difficult outdoor sequences of the film” have been shot already.
Shankar also revealed that the scenes that have been filmed so far have been edited and the dubbing process is also on. There is just one long schedule pending and this will commence next week and when this is done, the film will be wrapped up, the director added.

Shankar's Nanban has a different song sung by Vijay Prakash!
The expectations surrounding Shankar's Nanban with Vijay are massive and every little tidbit fresh from the sets makes headlines. The latest is about an exclusive song composed by Harris Jayaraj with lyrics by Madan Karky in about 16 different languages and sung by the talented Vijay Prakash.
Shankar famed for his songs which are shot in fabulous locations has gone all out for this number it is reported. He has looked the world over for suitable spots and settled on the most picturesque places.The film is proceeding at a rapid pace as it is going to be a Diwali release.

Vijay,Ileana liplock in Nanban?
"It is a long liplock scene which was well received by the audience. But it may not be retained in the Tamil version. Even if it is there, it would be shot in a way that you miss it if you blink," sources close to the unit say.
'3 Idiots' is being Tamilised by Shankar as 'Nanban', with Vijay, Srikanth and Jeeva playing the lead roles. Ileana is the heroine, while Sathyaraj plays her father. Music is scored by Harris Jayaraj.
"Nanban is getting shape fast. Shankar has made some slight changes to the script to make it appeal to the Tamil audience. There may even be a fight sequence to satisfy Vijay fans. But we are not sure about it," sources say further.

Vijay and Ileana are flying to Amsterdam
Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Ileana are flying to Amsterdam in Netherlands, for Shankar's Nanban song picturisation. Nanban is a remake of Aamir Khan's Raju Hirani directed classic 3 Idiots.
Amsterdam is one of Shankar's favourite locations, especially the Tulip Gardens, 'discovered' first by Yash Chopra, in the famous Silsila song.
Shankar has done even better during the 'Flower Festival of the Keukenhof Gardens' in full bloom with tulips and other flowers making it a riot of colour on screen for the Kumari, Kumari song in Anniyan. The song featured Vikram and Sada, with Vivek in the background.
Now Shankar and Harris Jayaraj the Anniyan composer have come out with a peppy melody which will be picturised on Vijay and Ileana in Amsterdam and partly in Zurich in Switzerland.
Shankar and his team will be leaving for Amsterdam today (May 4) and will be back by May 10 or 11.

Nanban team spotted at Skywalk mall..!
The shoot had to be held in the midst of tight security as a huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the stars. Shankar was very strict and sent crew members around to issue instructions to the crowd. Onlookers were asked not to use their cameras or video recorders.
Vijay did the scenes like the consummate professional he is and took only three takes to perfect the shot. Ileana had a little more difficulty as she struggled with her Tamil but in the end, the director was satisfied.
Harris Jayaraj is almost finished with the music and the audio will be released soon.

Ileana fights back!
Remember, a week ago Tollywood Producers' Council and Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) issued a legal notice to actress Ileana, seeking proper explanation on her non-cooperation at the promotional events being held at various Telugu TV channels to save Jr. NTR's latest film Shakti (Om Shakti in Tamil)?
"When I signed on the dotted line, the story was very different. Later, during the filming, everything changed. What was narrated to me was different from what shaped up," she said.
Meanwhile, the producer Aswini Dutt is yet to react to the actress' sensational comment. According to him, the film is doing well.

Shankar successfully started '3 Idiots' shooting !
Director Shankar for the the first time would have faced so much hurdles for starting a film's shoot. Earlier Shankar was put into such situation when the initial producers of Endhiran, Ayangaran International walked off from the film.
Now after surviving all the odds, Shankar had successfully started the shooting of '3 Idiots' with Jeeva and Srikanth. It is said that Surya will join the crew at the end of February and before that Shankar will be finishing Srikanth and Jeeva's combined portions. However the title confusions are still on and the official announcement will be given soon.
The expected titles are '3 Rascals' and 'Moovar'. Since Surya has been signed instead of Vijay, the star value of the movie is remaining at the same height. Harris Jayaraj will be scoring music and Manoj Paramahamsa will be handling the camera for 3 Idiots Tamil and Telugu remakes.

Ileana whopping Rs. 1.5 crores 3 Idiots remake!
Sexy siren Ileana once again grabs headlines in terms of remuneration, after bagging a whopping Rs. 1.5 crores as total remuneration for the Tamil and Telugu remakes of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots!
The slim beauty has charged Rs. 30 lakhs for a single item number in a Kannada film titled Huduga Hudugi, a romantic comedy directed by Indrajit Lankesh. The song was shot in 3 days. The film was released recently. The moviegoers who watched Huduga Hudugi said Ileana looks stunning as ever in the special song.
The film revolves around Sachin (Dhyan) and Sonia (Lekha Washington), co-hosts of a popular TV show. Sonia's screen image fetches her a marriage proposal from a business family. Sonia agrees instantly but the guy rejects her due to her ordinary looks. Sachin, sensing her disappointment, steps in to help her undergo a makeover. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
