Shriya Saran will be a part of Kamal Haasan's Viswaroopam!

The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Shriya Saran will be a part of Kamal Haasan's forthcoming Viswaroopam!

As per a source: "Sonakshi Sinha has been signed to play the main female lead in Viswaroopam. Shriya is likely to play the second heroine in the film and may be Kamal's love interest. The earlier director, Selvaraghavan, gave her a narration of her role and she liked it"

Shriya had been earlier signed to play a role in Kamal's Marmayogi and had even done a photo shoot for the film. And now that Kamal is directing Viswaroopam, Shreya stands a good chance to be part of the film.

Shriya and Bollywood star Shahrukh set the stage on fire!

Vijay Anthony's 'Nakku Mukka' is going places! After the ICC Cricket World Cup, it's destination IPL for 'Nakku Mukku'. At the IPL opening ceremony, South Indian sensation Shriya Saran and Bollywood badshah Shahrukh Khan set the stage on fire. The master entertainer sent the crowd into raptures when he launched into peppy Tamil numbers ('Nakku Mukka' and 'Appidi Podu') along with Shriya. What's more, the Bollywood star was seen lip-syncing some of the Tamil lyrics, which sent the crowd into a further frenzy.

Shriya, who is currently shooting for Deepa Mehta's Winds of Change (based on Salman Rushdie's novel Midnight's Children) in Sri Lanka, took 36 hours leave from the sets to perform in this event.

Shriya doing item song!

Recently, it was reported that Bollywood's super heroine Deepika Padukone would do an item number in Jayanth C. Paranji's forthcoming Telugu film Teenmaar, starring Pawan Kalyan. But the latest buzz is that it was only a rumour and the said item number would feature slim beauty Shriya Saran dancing with Pawan Kalyan. Notably, Shriya did a song in Pawan Kalyan's last film Puli.

A youthful romantic comedy entertainer produced by Ganeshbabu under the banner of Parameswara Arts, Teenmaar is Pawan Kalyan's biggest budget film till date. It has already completed the entire shooting, except three songs. Pawan Kalyan plays a dual role and Trisha is the heroine. The audio, composed by Mani Sharma, will be released soon. Cinematography is by Jayanan Vincent and art by Narayana Reddy.

Shriya as one day lecturer for IIT students!

78463Actress Shriya Saran took one day lesion for IIT, Madras students last week. She took lesion about the film, brief history and films as a medium of culture exchange.

Shriya Saran discussed with students about piracy. You guys must say no to piracy.

It is not the first time Shriya Saran is interacting with prestigious Indian students. She earlier impressed the IIM students of Ahmedabad last year. There also she was asked to talk about the movie industry followed by a question hour, which the actress handled them with spontaneity and humor.

Shriya is currently working ‘Rowdram’ with Jiva, Deepa Mehta’s ‘Midnight Children’ and Mohanlal’s ‘Casanova’.
