If you are an immigrant whats your status...Tell us more about you.
If not, whats the purpose of you are visiting IV. Just teach about the scam?
The ICE, USCIS and DOL are there and very much capable to take care these scams. So if you have any information about the fraud...contact those authorities. We dont have anything to do with that. Otherwise please get lost.
I can see how ignorant you are, I can use similar words.
Either you are really an uneducated fellow or not really get educated.
I dont have to file any type of application to be on this forums,
There could be tons of reasons why I am on this forums, ...Parents visitor visa, .. Brothers H1 , .. friends immigrants status, ...for god sake there are tons of issues.
I can say one thing .. there are few fellows around here .. looks like they are invaded this Immirationvoice.org forums and they are not allowing any new users to come or to post any topics which they dont like. What's wrong in my posting. I just browsed some topics .. they are horrible horrible topics out there.
Do a favor, If you want to help this forums never post such type of comments and get educated first and think positively.

I would say Canada because British Columbia has a much higher standard of living than Boston. Canada is generally a much better place for raising kids and the stress levels are lower because of freebies like health care etc. BC also has a much better weather compared to Boston.
The other reason is that you could always come to the USA from Canada later but if you lose the Canadian PR now and don't manage to get a green card in the US, you lose everything.
Thanks for the reply isedkeem, and best wishes for your GC journey.
Just throwing some thoughts out: I've seen many rant about the dismal employment situation, unaffordable housing, and high taxes in Canada compared to the United States. Can anyone share their thoughts or experiences on this?

I got a letter from IRS stating they have notified the employer to send the corrected W-2. I should be waiting two weeks before the due date and then use Form 4852 to report the correct wages. This has become a stress for no-fault of ours. If the employer provides us a corrected W-2 after we file our taxes and if the figures don't match then we should amend our taxes using 1040X. I am sure the employer will wait till the last date or near to due date to give us a corrected W-2. This is a real pain in the a$$.

. After 180 days you may leave, but you will have to find a new employer who is willing to hire you on permanent basis upon getting you GC for same/similar job as in the LC. What you do until your GC is approved (contract job with this employer or something else) is a different matter. Those employments can be on EAD, H1, temp/permanent, etc.
What if the job i'm moving to after 180 days is hiring me permanently now itself? Do they still have to specify (in EVL for AC21) that they will hire me perm only upon getting GC?

Interesting...looks like this bill is moving faster than we'd think...it would be interesting to see where it ends up. Also, it appears that this bill does not talk about giving the DV visas to existing EB-X categories but instead to create a new EB category for STEM graduates...not sure, but that's what it sounds like.
"In simple English, the bill would eliminate the annual green card lottery and give the 55,000 green cards each year to foreign-born graduates of U.S. universities with advanced degrees in the sciences or in medicine.
With the employment-based second preference category (EB-2) backlogged for many years for persons born in India and mainland China, our country would benefit greatly if 55,000 more green cards were available annually for highly-educated people."
--------------------------------------------------------------------
However the bill would also benefit EB3, as the numbers will roll down from EB2. Not a bad deal, as it would reduce everyone's stress.

Chandu, here I found the LINK (http://www.murthy.com/news/n_porret.html)
"When explaining the risk of potentially stricter AC21 regulations to I-485 applicants, we are frequently asked, "If I change jobs under AC21 and the regulations are released after that, they won't apply to me, right?" Unfortunately, this is not correct. While it is not possible to predict the content or effective date of any future regulations, they will likely apply at the time of adjudicating the I-485 application, and not just when the job change occurs. In a hypothetical example, if new regulations were to limit the percentage of acceptable salary difference, or prevent multiple portings, the officer adjudicating the I-485 could decide that the job change violates the regulations, even if the change occurred months or years before the new regulations were issued."
Redgreen, please read :)

on 630 KHOW (Capliss & Silverman).
Congressman Udall spoke at length how the conference committee is formed, how it operates and how decisions are reached.
One thing he said is particularly noteworthy. He said, he reads his fellow congressmen and the mood of the House, and at this moment there are 300 congressmen (out of a total of 525) willing to vote in favor of the senate version of the comprehensive immigration bill as it is.
As I said in my posts elsewhere in IV, let's keep our eyes and ears open for the opnions of representatives and follow up on that.

Is there any advantage choosing a local lawyer? Can some body please suggest attorney in Chicago area.
Some ppl prefer to have local attorney in case they want the attorney to accompany them if & when CIS calls for personal interview.

A friend told me about the E category visa for Australian nationals. Is this true?
According to him, if you become an Australian national, you can use the E-visa.
Has anyone migrated to Australia and returned to US successfully on a E-visa?
Has anyone also applied successfully for a green card on a E-visa?
How long does it take to get Australian nationality?
I think you can apply as Australina national but your priority date is dependent upon your birth country not the country of acquired citizenship. I have a friend who is an Australian citizen (born in India) and is stuck in retrogression.

From a Constitution standpoint, Obama believes the Congress should pass the law and his executive branch will implement it.
Unfortunately, thanks to the filibuster, the senate is broken and nothing important has gotten passed. The Health care bill was watered down to make it almost useless.
He seems to forget that he also has a role of a leader to move the country in the right direction even if it may be unpopular.
There are issues that have over 60% support (eg. Don't ask Don't tell, Legal immigration issues, Energy tax credit, etc.) that he can support via executive orders but refuses to do so from a standpoint of the Constitution.
So, we are at
the Left are frustrated because he has abandoned their core issues
the Independents are frustrated because of the Job market and benefits from Health care won't kick in till 2012, etc.
the very small moderate right does not like him because of differences in policies
the rest of extreme right hates him since they think he was born in Kenya or black guy should not be the president.
It will be interesting to see what this election changes :)
